Abstrak

Teacher instruction plays a crucial role in the development of educational quality. The public health crisis of COVID-19 has impacted various aspects of human life, including the economy, education, and social spheres. The education sector has been significantly affected by COVID-19, necessitating changes in teaching methods towards technology-based approaches to ensure the continuity of education, even when students are unable to attend school physically. This study aims to examine the level of knowledge among trainee teachers during the implementation of Home-Based Teaching and Learning (PDPR). A total of 188 trainee teachers from the Faculty of Education at the International Selangor Islamic University (UIS) were selected as respondents for this study. The research design employed a survey method using a questionnaire instrument to gather data. The data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26. The overall findings of the study indicated that the level of knowledge among trainee teachers regarding PDPR applications was high. It is hoped that the results of this study will provide insights into the knowledge of teachers about the effective use of technology, which is beneficial for future trainee teachers who will undergo practicum, in line with current needs, to create interactive and engaging teaching and learning experiences.
